April 13th- Arrowmont School of Craft Artists in Residence Symposium
This was an awesome experience, met a bunch of working artists and got to hear their thoughts on residencies, grad school and
making money. It was very informative panel discussion and just plan fun hanging out and talking with the artists.
May 11th- Graduation
Nothing much to do with art at the ceremony just pretty excited about grabbin' my degree.
May 12th-ish through mid August - I managed to get in the studio this summer as an Artist in Residence at ETSU. Be a great opportunity for
me to rock some new work in the print lab, while taking advantage of a mostly traffic free print lab!
September 1st- Started my position as Education Coordinator at the Reece Museum on the Campus of ETSU. I applied for theAppalachian CARES/ AmeriCORPS, Service- Learning Facilitator, position and have been serving since. I handle all the educational programming, I have been in charge of tours, events and receptions, as well as create and implement projects for youths on campus and in the community.
October 9th,10th,11th and 18th - Shannon Brown, the other AmeriCORPS member at the Reece Museum, and I provided a print making workshop to 100+ kids from local club organizations.
